Hello Everyone!

Wow!  What a December! Many thanks to everyone who helped to make December such a hit for us.  From our community partners with THE SIX TRIPLE EIGHT to sold-out crowds for our special events to our enthusiastic audiences for A COMPLETE UNKNOWN and NOSFERATU, we're so delighted to have seen such momentum on a daily basis over the past several weeks.  You've been part of this, and we're very grateful! 

Our two current engagements - A COMPLETE UNKNOWN and NOSFERATU - have both seen success with us.  They will stick around for another week and see us into 2025.

"Open Caption Mondays" are a hit and much appreciated by many of our regulars.  On Monday, Jan. 6, all screenings of NOSFERATU and A COMPLETE UNKNOWN will be presented with Open Captions (aka - captions presented on the screen).

"Visionary musician and artist Brian Eno - known for producing David Bowie, U2, Talking Heads, among many others; pioneering the genre of ambient music; and releasing over 40 solo and collaboration albums - reveals his creative processes in this groundbreaking generative documentary: a film that's different every time it's shown."  Join us for a special, one-time screening - co-presented with our friends from Skeleton Dust Records - on Jan. 8, 2025 at 7:30. Tickets are $12.50 each. Prior to the screening, Dayton experimental musician Rusty Skelding will be presenting a hands-on modular synthesizer demonstration where patrons can explore creating generative electronic sounds.

Cult Movie Night presents DINNER IN AMERICA

Victor Bonacore is bringing back his popular "Cult Movie Night" with a more contemporary cult film - DINNER IN AMERICA. "An on-the-lam punk rocker and a young woman obsessed with his band go on an unexpected and epic journey together through the decaying suburbs of the American Midwest. After the original song "Watermelon" went viral on TikTok, audiences in droves are rediscovering this gnarly, punk rock rom-com from Adam Carter Rehmeier...DINNER IN AMERICA suffered the box-office fate of so many films when Covid-19 shut down theaters. Nearly five years later, the film has been selling out screens across the country from the IFC Center in NY to the Frida Cinema in Santa Ana, CA. It's a feel-good romance with an edge.
As always the film will be accompanied by trailers, a short film and other surprises.

Silents Synced: NOSFERATU with RADIOHEAD

"Silents Synced" pairs classic silent movies with epic rock music. Created by an independent cinema owner for independent cinemas! The first film in this series will feature Radiohead’s “KID A (2000) / Amnesiac (2001),” paired with NOSFERATU - the 1922 silent German Expressionist vampire film directed by F. W. Murnau and starring Max Schreck as Count Orlok.
