Hello Everyone!
This Thursday evening marks the start of MAESTRO - the new biopic about Leonard Bernstein directed by and starring Bradley Cooper. Nominated for 4 Golden Globes including "Best Picture - Drama," this gorgeous new film also stars Carey Mulligan (who is getting rave reviews across the board). As an extra treat, our opening night screening (this Thursday at 7:30) will be followed by a special discussion with Neal Gittleman - Artistic Director and Conductor of The Dayton Philharmonic. (FYI - MAESTRO must end on Dec. 24...so hurry down if you want to catch this lovely film on the big screen!)
If you still need to see DREAM SCENARIO or the classic comedy ELF, hurry down. Thursday will be your last chance to catch these at THE NEON. On Friday, we're bringing back TRIANGLE PARK for a final round of encores for one more week, and THE HOLDOVERS will stick around for a 6th week! POOR THINGS (a big award contender this year starring Emma Stone) opens Thursday, Dec. 21.
The bold and beautiful new adaptation of THE COLOR PURPLE, which is already getting rave reviews from lucky audience members who were able to access advance screening tickets, opens Dec. 25. Tickets for opening week are already on sale!
We've launched our annual Capital Campaign to ensure we can continue to grow in 2024. If you haven't read our 2023 wrap-up letter, please click HERE to check it out.
"Open Caption Mondays" continue to be well-received - MAESTRO and THE HOLDOVERS will be presented with Open Captions (captions projected on the screen) on Monday, Dec. 18. (As a reminder, seating is no longer assigned on Mondays-Thursdays for traditional engagements.)
