As he struggles to reintegrate into a society where firearms are revered and gun violence is pervasive, he embarks on a journey to heal himself and confront the hidden costs of military service, combat, and the enduring psychological impact of war.<br><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Following the screening, filmmaker Aaron Davidman will join a panel of community experts to explore the film’s themes and answer questions from the audience.<br></span><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Presented through a partnership between Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Dayton International Peace Museum, this community engagement event uses independent film as a starting point for meaningful conversation about issues that affect veterans, families, and communities—including struggles that are not always visible to those around us.<br></span><i style="font-size: 12pt;">AMERICAN SOLITAIRE</i><span style="font-size: 12pt;"> is an independent film.
