Hello Everyone!

This Thursday marks the start of a film that could end up being a big contender for Academy Awards.  CONCLAVE, directed by Edward Berger (ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT), stars an incredible ensemble - helmed by Ralph Fiennes. You don't want to miss this one on the big screen!  If you still need to see WE LIVE IN TIME, it will be here one more week.  Sadly, SATURDAY NIGHT has to leave...Thursday will be its last day. 

Next week, we have a documentary that's perfect for anyone who loves movies - MY NAME IS ALFRED HITCHCOCK, (currently rated "100% Fresh" on rottentomatoes), and on Nov. 8, we'll open one of the best reviewed films of the year (and a sure bet for a "Best Picture" nomination) - Sean Baker's ANORA. On Nov. 14, we'll open the Sundance winner A REAL PAIN - written & directed by Jesse Eisenberg. "Open Caption Mondays" are back!  On Monday, Oct. 28, all screenings of CONCLAVE & WE LIVE IN TIME will be presented with Open Captions (aka - captions presented on the screen).

CULT MOVIE NIGHT: HALLOWEEN III - SEASON OF THE WITCH

Victor Bonacore is bringing back Cult Movie Night for a 2nd time in October - the series' favorite month. "Continuing with our theme of killer trick or treaters, this time it’s the notorious HALLOWEEN: SEASON OF THE WITCH!  Easily the most unique, divisive entry in the most popular horror franchise of all time. This one completely sways from the first 2 HALLOWEEN films and takes a much different approach by distancing itself from the Michael Myers character. The idea didn’t last as the 4th one went back to the roots of the original, but this one remains extremely special.  
This 1982 film is clever, unsettling and ahead of its time. Many fans share the same experience with it, they hated it as a kid, but then we discovered the genius of the film and how great it really is.  It’s the perfect film to countdown to Halloween..."

SLASHER NIGHT 2024 - WES CRAVEN NIGHT

Slasher Night at THE NEON - hosted by Bryan Bardine & Christopher Burnside from the UD English Department - returns for the third year with two more classic slasher films on October 29! This year, it's a Wes Craven double feature, with the original A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, written and directed by Wes Craven, followed by the original SCREAM, written by Kevin Williamson and directed by Wes Craven. Both movies were so good that they each spawned large franchises. If you've never seen these iconic slashers on the big screen before, this is the perfect opportunity to watch them as Wes Craven intended.
