Hello Everyone!

This weekend, we're excited to open Sofia Coppola's latest film PRISCILLA - a gorgeous and bittersweet biopic about Priscilla Presley.  The Hollywood Reporter  calls it, "an impeccable union of director and subject." If you still need to see ANATOMY OF A FALL, we'll have it for one more week.  NYAD only has a couple screenings left.  And only 4 more shows of TAYLOR SWIFT THE ERAS TOUR!

Thanks to everyone who came out to see our Early Access screening of Alexander Payne's THE HOLDOVERS.  Our audience absolutely loved it, and we're hoping the buzz really starts to spread.  This was my favorite of the 33 films I screened at The Toronto International Film Fest (though there were a few others I adored, too).  We open it officially on Nov. 9 (opening weekend tickets are already available).

"Open Caption Mondays" continue to be well-received - PRISCILLA and ANATOMY OF A FALL will be presented with Open Captions (captions projected on the screen) on Monday, Nov. 6. (As a reminder, seating is no longer assigned on Mondays-Thursdays for traditional engagements.)

Synopsis for PRISCILLA: "When teenage Priscilla Beaulieu meets Elvis Presley at a party, the man who is already a meteoric rock-and-roll superstar becomes someone entirely unexpected in private moments: a thrilling crush, an ally in loneliness, a vulnerable best friend." (A24) Rolling Stone  describes the film as "a transportive, heartbreaking journey into the dark heart of celebrity, and [Coppola's] finest film since LOST IN TRANSLATION." Featuring fantastic central performances with Cailee Spaeny (MARE OF EASTTOWN) as Priscilla and Jacob Elordi (EUPHORIA) as Elvis.

If you're into underground, fringe or cult classic cinema, there's a film series you're gonna want to check out - Cult Movie Mondays - and week #7 happens at The NEON on Monday, Nov. 6th at 7:30pm, with BIRDEMIC.Tickets and all of the details for upcoming screenings are available on the series' official site!

Cult Movie Monday is proudly presented in partnership with The Local 937, a brand new sandwich café opening in St. Annes Hill this Fall and Toxic Brew Company located a short D.O.R.A. walk away in the Oregon District. But just what lies behind the appeal of the painting – and just who was the artist that created it? "  Join us on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 5pm for the last of our Exhibition On Screen events in partnership with Dayton Art Institute until Spring 2024! And as a bonus, Dr. Shannon Peck-Bartle, Education and Community Engagement Director at the DAI, will give a brief presentation after the film. ( We've had a few people ask if we'll be scheduling an encore for this selection.  Unfortunately, we've not yet hit our threshold for determining an encore...but we're hopeful that could happen in the next few days.)

Fans of our one-night-only music docs are gonna love IMMEDIATE FAMILY (from the director of THE WRECKING CREW). Carole King said, "This film is a window into the lives of my musical brothers, whose gold standard is to make sure that every song they play on comes out even better than the songwriter imagined. Now they're doing that for their own songs, and this film tells their story beautifully."
